As a system and volume team partner with Boeing on the 787 program, we worked with other Parker divisions to create the aft strut fairing hydraulic equipment module, pre-integrating 60 components into a single subsystem designed to provide structure and hydraulic support while reducing aircraft production flow time.
Prior to shipment, the modules complete component functional checks, leak tests, hydraulic/electrical/structural spatial clearance verification, and electrical bonding and grounding conductivity requirements. The installation of all hardware, including all the functional checks, are performed by Parker Aerospace instead of by the aircraft manufacturer.
