your hydrogen partner
As well as having a rich history in developing hydrogen technology for the NASA space program, Parker partners with many global and regional companies servicing the hydrogen ecosystem, from hydrogen electrolyzers to on-board hydrogen fuel cell delivery systems, and as a member of the Hydrogen Council, Parker is your reliable and trusted partner of choice for EC-79 and ISO 19880-3 Certified products.
As hydrogen fuel cell use becomes more commonplace, Parker remains committed to the safe deployment of hydrogen as an alternative fuel source. To do so, we offer a wide range of EC-79 Certified components for hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) fuel systems, buses, marine applications. Components for on-board hydrogen powered vehicles for pressures from 30 to 700 bar (435 to 10,152 psi)
With more than 10,000 alternative fueling stations globally – and more than a dozen alternative fuels in production or under development – consumers and industry together are clamoring for a clean energy future. Parker's Instrumentation Products Division can engineer and manufacture ISO 19880-3 Certified components for hydrogen refueling stations for pressures up to 700 bar (10,152 psi)
Fluid conveyance on a green hydrogen electrolyser refers to the system of fittings, valves, and tubing used to transfer fluids, such as water and electrolyte, to and from the electrolyser cells. Parker’s products are designed to handle the pressures from vacuum to 1,380 bar (20,000 psi) and temperatures required for the electrolysis process. and are manufactured in a range of corrosion-resistant alloys.
Parker’s Bestobell cryogenic valves are specifically designed to be used in cryogenic applications where extremely low temperatures are present. These valves are commonly used in the transportation of liquefied gases, including hydrogen, which must be kept at temperatures well below their boiling points to remain in their liquid form. When transporting hydrogen, the use of Bestobell cryogenic valves is important to ensure the safety and efficiency of the transport process.

ULEMCo
The use of Parker EC-79 rated fittings for hydrogen applications, alongside close collaboration with OEM ULEMCo and a Parker Partner, is helping to pioneer technology that allows commercial vehicle fleet owners to include hydrogen among their running fuels. Taking advantage of zero-emission hydrogen fuel supports wider strategies to reduce transport-related carbon footprint.
As a source of clean energy, hydrogen is making a great contribution to a more sustainable future. However, it can embrittle poor-quality steel materials, leading to unexpected component failures. This article looks at how materials certificates can protect OEMs from such problems.
Hydrogen is highly flammable – more so than regular fuel – and is harder to contain than oil due to its small particle size which brings understandable safety concerns. Fittings used in Hydrogen production, Hydrogen fuel cells and refueling stations must meet key performance criteria to ensure safety, reliability, and performance in application.
