For more than 50 years, Purolator, a Parker Brand, has designed and manufactured a broad range of porous, sintered, metallic filter products to address specific needs for diverse markets. A host of custom and standard products are available for liquid and gas filtration, fluidization, separation, and many other applications. Product offerings include cleanable, stainless steel elements, self-cleaning filters, fluidizing media, filter Septa tubes and high temperature gas filters. These fabricated metal products are used in chemical processing, power generation, pharmaceutical, refining and other industrial applications.

POROPLATE® Custom Products

Poroplate® laminates are multilayer composites of selected wire cloth, perforated metal and fiber metal felt permanently bonded together through a proprietary, diffusion bonded process. Purolator Facet, a Parker brand, invented Poroplate® laminates and has been manufacturing this product for over 40 years. This innovation and experience allow us to provide standard and custom products worldwide.

DYNAPORE® Fluidizing Media

Dynapore® Fluidizing Media is made by permanently joining layers of woven wire mesh by a unique diffusing bonding process. Precise control of permeability, strength and corrosion resistance is achieved by custom design and specification. Optimum performance and service life can be attained for any fluidizing application such as fluidized hoppers, fluidized gravity conveyors, fluidized beds, and gas spargers. 

Dynapore media is avaliable in four Hi-Flo and four Lo-Flo standard specifications that will satisfy practically any fluidizing appplication requirements. The media is produced in basic flat sheets and can also be fabricated into finished components.

POROPLATE® Hot Gas Filter Cartridge

Hot gas is often processed in environments reaching temperatures up to 1650°F (900°C). Parker’s Poroplate hot gas metal filter cartridges are available in alloys with the metallurgical properties and mechanical strength required to withstand these harsh conditions.

By tailoring the filter to your system’s specific operating parameters, we deliver filters that not only tolerate higher temperatures but also provide increased throughput capacity. Our proprietary multilayer wire mesh media is sintered into a rigid, durable, and porous structure that withstands hot gas exposure and offers greater durability than other media types. Additionally, Poroplate hot gas filters provide superior back pulse efficiency with no measurable product bleed-through.

POROMET® Stainless Filter Cartridge

Poromet® elements are built for high-temperature and corrosion applications. They are superior quality filters whose performance exceeds every other competitive element. Poromet elements can lower your cost by providing longer on-stream life and years of trouble-free service. In addition, Poromet elements are easily cleaned and can help you avoid increasing disposal cost. Poromet® filter elements are standard element products designed for most commercial housings.

POROPLATE® Cleanable Basket

Poroplate® cleanable baskets replace bag filters with multiple layers of stainless-steel wire cloth, diffusion bonded together for increased strength, corrosion resistance, and longer life. These filters are made with one-piece construction which allows for easy handling. No bag is needed for filtration as the basket becomes the filter media. The filter can be easily cleaned and fits most commercial size #1 and size #2 basket housings.

POROPLATE® Power Generation Filters

Poroplate® septa, pressure leaf filter, trays, resin, traps, laterals, and baskets are application engineered and tailored to your specific operating conditions and requirements. Because of their superior flow distribution, Purolator septa filters are designed to extend run times, maximize the use of ion exchange resins, increase precoat uniformity, and improve backwash efficiency with no measurable resin bleed-through. Poroplate® septa filters precoat uniformly without the need for a cellulose precoat. Radwaste volume is reduced by increasing the run time between backwashing and decreasing the requirement for cellulose precoating.

METALEDGE® Self-Cleaning Filter

MetalEdge® Self-Cleaning filter has been the industry leader for over 70 years. The filter system features a cylindrical, cleanable filter cartridge with an integral knife blade, which cleans the filter by wiping the trapped contaminants off the surface of the cartridge. MetalEdge® features a unique brass or stainless steel filter medium, consisting of a wedge-shaped metal ribbon with formed projections. MetalEdge® filter media provides the greatest percentage of open area, which is several times greater than that of any other self-cleaning or wedge-wire filter media. Various liquid process applications include chewing gum base, toothpaste, recycled oil products, chocolates, paints and pigments.

POROBON® Filter Breathers

Breather filters provide positive protection for hydraulic, engine, and transmission fluid reservoirs. Breather filters provide protection against damage to system components such as pumps, valves, and cylinders by airborne contaminants. They act as ventilators to provide the free flow of clean air into fluid reservoirs and assure instant compensation for changes in liquid level.
