Membrane Nitrogen Generators Produce 95 To 99% Pure Nitrogen - Industrial Gas Filtration & Generation Division | Parker US
Industrial factory indoors and machinery. Robotic factory line for processing and bottling of soda and orange juice bottles. Selective focus. Short depth of field.

Membrane technology uses bundles of hollow fibers contained within a tube. The fiber walls selectively separate compressed air by diffusing unwanted oxygen, water vapor, and other waste gases into the atmosphere. Meanwhile, nitrogen is retained and allowed to pass through the center of the fibers to the application.

HFX Series

Membrane Nitrogen Gas Generators

A range of comprehensive industrial membrane nitrogen generators that produce up to 99% pure, commercially sterile nitrogen from a standard compressed air supply at dewpoints down to -58°F (-50°C). Ideal for low-purity applications where 1% to 5% remaining oxygen content is permissible. Such as:

  • Chemical blanketing
  • Fire & explosion prevention
  • Pigging
  • Tire inflation
  • Laser sintering

Hifluxx Nitrogen Gas Membrane Modules

Membrane modules for producing nitrogen gas at pressures up to 13 barg from a standard compressed air supply. HiFluxx provides nitrogen gas of 95% to 99,5% equivalent nitrogen purity.

Nitrogen is used as a clean, dry, inert gas primarily for removing oxygen from products and/or processes. Parker modules can be built into a custom-made nitrogen generator or can be integrated with your (production) process to provide an on-demand, continuous source of nitrogen gas. This nitrogen gas can be used in a wide range of industries including food, beverage, pharmaceutical, laboratory, chemical, heat treatment, electronics, transportation, oil & gas, mining, and marine.

HiFluxx Features and Benefits

  • Less membrane modules needed per nitrogen system.
  • Use of low pressure standard industrial compressor – no high-pressure compressor needed to obtain required nitrogen flow.
  • Energy savings – operation at a low pressure requires less energy.
  • Reduced CO2 emissions – no heater required to open polymer membrane structure, thus reducing the energy consumption.
  • Robust fiber – most tolerant fiber to particle contamination

  • Large membrane diameter – lowest membrane module pressure drops.
  • Factory membrane ageing, pre-delivery, - no performance decrease over time due to fiber ageing
  • Quick start-up time – required nitrogen purity is produced instantly, no time needed to heat-up.
  • Flexible mounting arrangements – can be mounted horizontal or vertical.

  • Low noise operation – radiated noise generated by membrane technology is extremely low
  • No maintenance required – no user serviceable parts
  • Small system footprint – less modules needed to produce nitrogen requirements
  • Above selection criteria are based on 97% purity and 7 barg, please refer to the product literature in the support section for additional performance conditions.

SmartFluxx Nitrogen Gas Membrane Modules (10% to 0.5% maximum remaining oxygen content)

SmartFluxx design optimizes highest nitrogen capacity and lowest feed-air consumption, keeping the modules the smallest available on the market. Smartfluxx provides nitrogen gas of 90% to 99.5% equivalent nitrogen purity.

Parker Hollow-fiber membrane modules produce nitrogen gas from compressed air to offer a cost effective, reliable, and safe solution to on-site nitrogen gas generation.

More nitrogen per fiber is produced from Parker hollow fiber membranes that any other in the world, together the lowest module pressure drops, meaning fewer membranes are needed per nitrogen system. Gas is generated via low a low pressure standard industrial compressor results in operational energy savings.

The correct purity is available instantly as there is no need to heat-up the membrane to open the polymer structure, consequently further reducing the energy consumption, resulting in reduced CO2 emissions.

SmartFluxx offers flexible mounting solutions offer a small system footprint. With no serviceable parts, Smart flux operates maintenance free.
