In developing its line of next-generation pumps, Parker Aerospace engineers are focused on achieving a key objective: the lowest total life-cycle cost. This blank-sheet design is scalable to fit a broad range of applications and intended to work with varying hydraulic fluids.
Via electromagnetic actuation, ConnecDrive technology can disconnect the electric pump from the engine while the aircraft is in cruise or other modes where pump service is not required. Engine-driven pumps equipped with ConnecDrive technology can be activated/deactivated by the pilot or via the aircraft’s vehicle management system, eliminating parasitic drag on the engine.
Powerpacks are pre-integrated, compact, and modular products that serve as sources of localized hydraulic power. Electric motor-driven hydraulic powerpacks fully integrate the hydraulic pump, filters, reservoir, switches, transducers, and ground support couplings. Parker engineers have been making improvements to powerpack designs, determining optimal usage of this innovative, reliable and scalable technology.
