Off-Highway Vehicle

An Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) is any motor vehicle specifically designed for use on steep or uneven ground. These types of vehicles are easily identified by their large tires, flexible suspensions, or caterpillar tracks. Off-Highway Vehicles fall under one of four categories: Recreational, Construction/Mining, Agriculture, and Industrial.

Parker Fluid System Connectors Division fittings and valves are specifically designed for the construction/mining, agriculture, and industrial off-highway vehicles. Our line of off-highway vehicle fittings and valves are specifically engineered for the rigors of fuel systems, coolant lines, filtration systems, and attachment connections. For off-highway vehicles that utilize air braking systems, Parker offers both push-to-connect and compression style air brake fittings.

Diesel Fuel Fittings

Heavy trucks utilize diesel fuel over gasoline for two reasons: (1) Fuel economy and (2) diesel engines provide more torque, which is important for being able to carry heavy loads. Diesel engines work by injecting the diesel fuel into the combustion chamber of the engine and is ignited when the engine piston compresses the diesel fuel. This compression produces high temperatures in the engine compartment. Because of the challenging environment of a diesel engine compartment, diesel fuel fittings need to be heat resistance and leak free. Parker's line of diesel fuel fittings provides years of leak-free dependable service. Our diesel fuel fittings and valves undergo stringent testing to ensure the final product can withstand the high heat and provide a leak free connection. Engine Coolant Fittings

Glycol-based engine coolants are an essential component to protecting a truck's engine. Without the proper coolant, a truck's engine can start to melt and pre-maturely war down, a costly expense to repair or replace. In addition to preventing engine overheating, engine coolant also provides some lubrication for key components such as the water pump, head gasket, and cylinder and piston timing. Preventing leaks of glycol-based engine coolant is of high importance for protecting employee health and the environment. Accidental ingestion of glycol-based coolants can have adverse effects on an employee's or wildlife's health. Parker's engineering and manufacturing teams have put countless hours into the development and production of our engine coolant fittings. Each fitting is designed and tested to provide years of leak-free dependable service. Our push-to-connect and compression style engine coolant fittings install fast and with minimal tooling. Explore our offering of engine coolant fittings and see which fits your application best.

DOT Air Brake Fittings

Air braking systems are used instead of hydraulic brakes on larger vehicles due to their dependability. An air braking system generates the braking fluid from the atmosphere whereas a hydraulic system is dependent on a reservoir of hydraulic fluid to function properly. The compressed air generated by the air braking system can also be used for other on-vehicle applications such as seat adjusters, air horn, and door controls. Parker's Fluid System Connectors Division manufacturers dependable, easy to install air brake fittings. These fittings are available in both push-to-connect and compression styles. Explore our offering of air brake fittings and see which fits your application best.
