Parker's products and services for industrial equipment and machinery are backed by unmatched material science expertise, innovative design tools, and decades of engineering experience. We're helping advance equipment technology with solutions that improve performance, safety, and efficiency.
Parker's breadth of product offering for dynamic sealing gives manufacturers options for cost control and machinery efficiency. Our engineering and material science expertise with rubber, polyurethane, and PTFE formulations ensures we have a range of performance solutions for fluid power components and rotating equipment.
Fluid power sealing components for industrial equipment include solutions which meet requirements for high and low pressure, a range of fluid media, and capable of operating in high and low temperature conditions. No matter the material or profile selection, sealing requirements for today's equipment include performance reliability, extended life cycles to accommodate automation, easy assembly for production efficiencies, and reliable supply chain. We offer standard profiles and where required, work with equipment manufacturers one-on-one to provide custom engineering to suit requirements.
Our complete portfolio of standard rotary seal products and the ability to engineer custom designs give you unmatched access to a wide range of solutions and sealing options for shaft sizes from 0.235" to over 90" – all from one supplier. Let us assist you in selecting the optimal seal design for your application.
Where elastomer lip seals fail, and mechanical seals are too costly, PTFE lipped rotary shaft seals are often the optimal choice for cost effectiveness in high production volumes. Versatility of design options and near universal fluid compatibility make them suitable for a wide range of applications. Machined PTFE sealing lip options are highly customizable and may include: single, double, redundant configurations, and excluders. Depending on application speed, hardware surface material/conditions, and temperatures, spring loaded or springless designs may be recommended.
Parker's Resilon® 4300 polyurethane D-rings are a one-piece hydraulic valve sealing solution that delivers longer life over tradition multi-component options utilizing O-rings + back-ups. The increased wear resistance and strength of polyurethane eliminates the need for back-up rings, minimizing installation issues. The symmetrical D-shape design provides sealing in the critical areas while reducing the chance of the seal being cut or pinched during installation.
Parker has a range of sealing products and materials for reciprocating and rotary shaft sealing of components which meet cleanliness requirements for use in food processing, potable water, and frequent wash down applications. We work with OEMs during the design process to build in safety and reliability with sealing solutions compliant with industry regulations.
Solutions for gear boxes that keep lubrication in, and contamination out. Size range capabilities for custom and standard product up to 90". Elastomer lip, polyurethane, composite elastomer/aramid fiber case, PTFE bearing isolators. We have solutions for vertical up, vertical down, flooded and non-flooded conditions.
ProTech bearing isolators utilize labyrinth seal technology to provide unmatched two-way sealing. Machined from long-wearing, chemical resistant filled and unfilled PTFE materials, they provide non-contact sealing. FKM o-rings on the ID and OD accommodate easy press-fit installation. Various profiles available to accommodate shaft orientation, flooded or non-flooded lubrication, and contamination exclusion requirements. Alternate materials available to suit application.
Clipper® Oil Seals are one of the Parker Engineered Polymer Systems (EPS) Division's most widely used rotary seal products. They are an effective solution – especially when used as direct replacements for traditional metal case seals. This is a testament to their precision-molded rubber/aramid fiber heel construction which eliminates the metal case.
Large or small scale operations rely on efficiencies and maximizing machine time and production runs. When equipment goes down, all the automation and speed built into today's operations can come to a halt. We have maintenance, repair and overhaul solutions that minimize down time - to get you through unplanned outages between maintenance intervals.
Clipper Oil Seals are an effective solution for maintenance and repair – especially when used as direct replacements for traditional metal case seals. This is attributable to their precision-molded rubber/aramid fiber heel construction which eliminates the metal case. Learn more and download the Clipper Oil Seal Buying Guide below.
