Hem-Flange Adhesive Features
Strong Mechanical Lock - Contains glass beads that provide a mechanical lock that will prevent shifting of substrate panels.
Bonds Unprepared Metals - Bonds exceptionally well through the various stamping lubricants typically present on metals, eliminating the need for advanced cleaning and surface preparation.
Environmentally Resistant - Provides excellent resistance to moisture, sunlight, salt spray, and thermal cycling; sustains short exposure to postbakes.
Easy to Apply - Utilizes non-sagging rheology; replaces the need for spot welding which degrades metal and allows rusting to occur.
Low Temperature Cure - Develops a high-strength bond at room temperature in less than one hour, eliminating metal warpage caused by high curing induction temperatures.

From body-in-white to doors, body panels, and fenders, our hem flange adhesives are equipped for a variety of unique automotive applications.
Hoods, Doors, and Decklids
- Bonds all currently used bare metal substrates (electro and hot-dipped galvanized steel, galvanneal, aluminum), powdered-coated magnesium, and liquid lubricants
- Able to bond through dry lubricants with the use of a low-temperature heat source
- Quick room temperature curing (approximately 60 minutes)
- Can use induction curing to expedite cure with low temperatures (– 200°F (93°C) – 225°F (107°C) maximum)
- Immediate handling strength with tight hems by use of glass beads (increases dimensional stability when loading into racks)
Body in White
- Cured panels allow for fit and finish on the body-in-white line if needed
- Exceptional dimensional stability before and after e-coat ovens
- Relative high hot strength while in the oven- allows for the panel to maintain dimensions even at temperatures up to 400°F (204°C)
- High hot peel strength of adhesives withstands excessive thermal movement in ovens
- High strength on all substrates used in automotive closure panels
- Compatible with most prep and e-coat systems
