Epoxy Adhesive

LORD epoxy bonding structural adhesives adhere to a wide variety of materials, from bare metals to plastics to foam. Known for their high tensile strength, bond strength and excellent chemical resistance, they are the right choice when long-term exposure to high heat is required. These adhesives generally have long open times, but heat easily accelerates the curing process. Structural adhesives increase the process efficiency compared to traditional fastening methods.

What are Structural Epoxy Adhesives?

Often referred to as "epoxy glue," epoxy adhesives generally tend to be viscous liquids or pastes, although self-leveling liquids are available. In general, epoxies have a low odor when uncured and are less sensitive to slight variations in mix ratio. Also, epoxy adhesives offer long open times, allowing for the repositioning and assembly of complex shapes. Final properties develop within 24 hours at room temperature.

Substrates for Epoxy Bonding Adhesive

What substrates do structural epoxy adhesives bond?

  • Composites
  • Plastics TPU/TPE
  • Prepared Metals
  • Bare Metals
  • Rubber/EPDM
  • Foams
