Division Menu:
Identify
1. What is the application –sprayed seam, wheelhouse coating, sound deadening pad, or underbody coating?
2. What is the color requirement –beige, white, gray or black?
Tech Tip:
- Fusor® HD sealers have passed 60 cycles of SAE J2334 Cyclic Corrosion Testing on bare metal.
Prepare
3. Over primer –Scuff cured primer with a scuff pad and blow clean.
4. Over bare metal – Prep the metal with 120 grit sand paper and blow clean.
Tech Tip: If building a sound dampening pad or duplicating OEM straight edge seams, tape off the desired area with masking tape.
Apply
5. Select the appropriate products based on color needed – Fusor 802HD, 804HD, 805HD or 806HD. Use on bare metal or primed surfaces.
6. Cut cartridge tip.
7. Apply the Fusor HD sprayable sealer using the 312 Spray gun
Tech Tip:
- Use an air regulator on the Fusor 312 gun. Perform a test spray out on a piece of cardboard. Start at 35 psi; adjust the 312 gun to achieve desired spray patterns. See video on YouTube.com/LORDFusor for various spray sealing techniques.
Finish
8. Remove any masking tape immediately.
9. Prime and paint per your paint manufacturer’s recommendations.
Tech Tip:
- Fusor HD sealers can be painted immediately or up to 30 days.
