Highlighted specialty applications in this section include Breathing Air Refill Hose, Subsea Hydraulic Hose, Car Wash Products, Waterblast Hose, and Sewer Hose.

Waterblast Hose

Waterblast Hose

The Parker TOUGHJACKET water blast hose, featuring 650x the abrasion resistance of standard rubber hose, eliminates the need for a bulky, PVC cover. It is designed to withstand severe waterblast applications where abrasion is a concern. Along with higher abrasion resistance, the TOUGHJACKET cover reduces drag, reducing the force required to relocate the assembly. All waterblast TOUGHJACKET hoses are compliant to the WJTA recommendations. They also feature Colorgard™, alerting the user of potential abrasion issues.

Parker Polyflex water jetting hose are ideal for applications such as hydrodemolition, industrial cleaning, ship cleaning, paint removal, pavement maintenance, deburring, surface preparation and material removal applications.

Carwash / Truckwash Hose and Tubing

Carwash / Truckwash Hose and Tubing

Carwashes are made up of thousands of components. Parflex works closely with customers to improve their processes by supplying hose and tubing products that can handle a wider range of soaps and waxes, continuous flexing and extreme abrasion in a wet, humid environment. This partnership has helped Parflex develop some of the best products on the market for car wash applications, thus reducing maintenance change outs and overall operating costs.

Typical application areas include prewash and soak, tire scrubbers, brushes, chemical/wax sprayers, mitters, conveyors, and the control room. Below are the most common products Parflex makes for this market.

Thermoplastic Hydraulic Hose

Thermoplastic Hydraulic Hose

Parflex hydraulic hose with fiber reinforcements and stainless steel fittings offer excellent compatibility with a wide range of fluid in car wash applications. Fiber reinforcement provides excellent flex-life fatigue and will not corrode if exposed (No Rust). The polyurethane jacket provides the best abrasion resistance and all of these hoses have a low coefficient of friction.

• Applications: Integrated Containment Fill Stations; Mobile Trailer
  Systems; Portable SCBA; Paintball
• 7,000 psi constant pressure
• Lightweight - 33% lighter than typical rigid tubing used for filling
applications resulting in reduced inbound freight
• Size Range: 3/16", 1/4" (5, 6 mm)
• Temperature Range: -40°F/-40°C to +180°F/82°C

Bonded Hose Assemblies

Bonded Hose Assemblies

Bonded hoses improve the management of the hose and increases the overall strength, eliminating some of the reasons hoses fail in the field. A bonded hose is particularly beneficial in cable track applications because it limits the abrasion damage that occurs when single hoses rub against each other.

• Applications: Conveyor, Chemical Sprayer, Wax Sprayer
• Up to 42% reduction of abrasion
• Eliminate and/or minimize cable track tangling and abrasion
• Eliminates hose to hose abrasion due to hose lines becoming one
• Up to 10 hoses in a single bond (10" maximum width)
