Fermenter Off-Gas

Industrial fermentation processes may involve the use of organisms or the manufacture of products which would be harmful to the external environment. For this reason, all air outlets should be sterile filtered in order to ensure environmental protection, Parker's range of sterile gas filters are capable of complete microbial elimination before exhaust.

Furthermore, the fermentation process produces excessive foam, which must be controlled by a method of foam management. Traditional methods of foam management are typically cost inefficient. The use of chemical anti-foams are costly to buy, and must also be removed by downstream processes, lest they contaminate the final product.

The innovative foam management system the TURBOSEP uses cyclone technology to destroy foam and recycle the contents back into the fermenter - eliminating the need for anti-foam agents, protecting fermenter vent filtration systems, increasing production capacity and minimising costs.
