Pelican EN 1765 S 15 hose provides a reliable and complete solution together with dedicated crimped fittings
VENIANO, Italy. 31. August 2016,- Parker Hannifin the global leader in motion and control technologies, has introduced Pelican EN 1765 S 15, a new hose for bunkering operations. Pelican hose meets the stringent requirements for loading, discharging and transferring fuels between bunker barge, a marine terminal or a marine facility from / to a receiving ship. Bunkering operations need to be carried out diligently and safely with all necessary measures in place to prevent fuel spillage into the water at ports or on the quayside.
Only robust and reliable components that meet international industry standards can be considered for use in these particular applications. Pelican uses a premium NBR rubber tube compound, resistant to refined products with an aromatic content not exceeding 50%. Reinforcement is achieved using synthetic textile fabrics embedded with a steel wire helix and built-in copper wire to facilitate the electrical connection between the hose and the end coupling. Working temperature range is from -20 °C to + 82 °C. Size ranges offered are from 2” up to 10” inside diameter to cover all possible refuelling applications for leisure boats to cargo vessels, ferryboats and cruise ships.
This new hose has all the technical properties to meet the challenges of applications such as refuel vessels, bunkering dock to ship, or ship-to-ship transfer according to EN 1765 type S 15, tested in compliance with 1907/2006/CE (REACH). Pelican hose can be supplied according to specific customer requirements (hose length and connection type) assembled with Parker large bore crimped fittings, tested and released with RINA certification. Compared to traditional solutions this new hose offers a robust, cost-effective and very user-friendly solution. Pelican hose assemblies are available in conductive or discontinuous formats based on the needs of individual applications.
