Spånga, Sweden, 25. April 2017 - Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has launched its new MAC Air Oil Cooler which has been specially designed for installation in marine applications to provide an efficient and cost saving cooling solution for hydraulic systems. The new MAC range is engineered for both near-shore and offshore applications and provides cooling capacity up to 300kW. Corrosion resistance meets C4-M and C5M-M requirements in accordance with ISO 12944.
The MAC design is based on the existing and proven concept of Parker’s LAC series and matches its high cooling performance standards. However, it has been further developed in order to withstand the most challenging marine environments whilst extending availability and reducing maintenance requirements. Some of the improvements include the new one-piece motor bracket with improved aerodynamics, the fan housing with an adapted design to reduce the risk of corrosion and an extensive marine specification for the electric motor.
The MAC series is REACH and RoHs compliant and offers low noise levels (e.g. MAC-056 with 73dB(A)) making it more environmentally and user friendly.
The new unit complements Parker’s existing and comprehensive range of oil coolers and accessories with capacities and sizes to suit most hydraulic system requirements.
