Nor-Shipping 2019 - Hall E, Booth E03-06 - 4 – 7 June - Norway Trade Fairs, Messeveien 8, 2004 Lillestrøm.
Oslo, Norway, 17. May 2019 – Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, will present technology innovations, system solutions, components and services for use in extremely severe operating conditions by the shipping and marine industry at this year’s Nor-Shipping Trade Fair.
Parker has been an important supplier to the marine sector for more than 50 years. Whether for cruisers, offshore rigs or tankers, pleasure boats, barges or yachts, Parker has the products to address many types of marine application. These include advanced filtration and particle detection systems, accumulators, cylinders and advanced hydraulic systems with approved certifications.
Parker’s wide product range comprises components and complete systems to fulfil the marine market needs for high pressure hydraulics in many types of deck machinery. All products are tested and built to withstand the arduous and rough conditions at sea, leveraging Parker’s engineering expertise and long experience of marine environments.
Parker will give special focus to its electromechanical, filtration, hydraulic, pneumatic and sealing & shielding technologies at Nor-Shipping. Amongst the many exhibits featured on the company’s booth (Hall E, Booth E03-06), will be an Ermeto DIN fittings demonstration, XVG (Marine CVG), Bearing Checker and Bestobell marine valves.
Ermeto DIN fittings
Ermeto DIN fitting components for high pressure hydraulic tube fittings are indispensable items for building a complete Parker fitting series (such as EO-PSR, EO-2, EO2-FORM). A high corrosion resistance treatment gives an average corrosion resistance of more than 500 hours to white rust. This attribute extends the life cycle of the fittings.
XVG (Marine CVG)
Parker’s XVG high flow capacity control valve with improved response and accuracy will be launched at the show. The new, improved design has multiple control options: electric, ATEX, IECEx, manual and hydraulic. Manifold mounting increases the options to include additional functions and allows for easier maintenance.
Acoustic Bearing Checker– Machinery Health Check (MHC)
Bearing damage caused by lack of lubricity can be a significant contributor to breakdowns and reduced performance in rotating equipment and machinery. Conducting periodic bearing checks can help engineers detect potential issues, resulting in less downtime, fewer repairs, and reduced operating costs. Parker Kittiwake's MHC Bearing Checker is an innovative, handheld device that provides engineers with the capability to quickly and accurately analyse bearing condition and lubrication state. With a substantial battery life, up to 1000 measurements between charges is possible.
Bestobell Marine Valve
The Parker Bestobell range of marine valves are designed specifically for LNG applications including LP fuel gas systems, re-gasification and re-liquification systems, compression and transfer. The marine valves maximise lifetime operation, and reduce maintenance and spares costs for ship operators, whilst providing full compliance with class requirements.
