Bietigheim-Bissingen, 6. May 2019 – Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has appointed Ulrich Jochem as General Manager of the Prädifa Technology Division. The division of the Parker Engineered Materials Group develops and produces sealing systems and engineered components from polymeric materials for a wide range of industries at its headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany, and seven other plants in the Czech Republic, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom. Jochem succeeds Thomas Ottawa, who was appointed by Parker as Vice President Operations of the Motion Systems Group Europe.
As General Manager, Ulrich Jochem has been responsible for the development of new products, technologies and markets, as well as for further profitable growth of the Prädifa Technology Division, since February 2019.
Jochem is particularly committed to fostering talent as part of HR development, growth through innovation and product development, and further organizational development.
With a long-standing background in various industries that also use Parker Prädifa products and drawing on ample experience abroad, Jochem has perfect prerequisites for leading the Prädifa Technology Division. Having started his professional career as a development engineer, he has since acquired both extensive technical and commercial experience. Particularly the combination of previous roles he held in operations and sales proves to be a major benefit in terms of customer intimacy.
Ulrich Jochem joined Parker in April 2017 as General Manager of the Hydraulic Controls Division Europe and, among other things, was instrumental in achieving the successful merger with the European Systems Division into the newly formed Industrial Systems Division Europe. Jochem had previously acquired his leadership expertise in executive roles with various renowned industrial corporations: at Linde AG, respectively the Kion Group, at Claas and, prior to joining Parker, as President Locomotives of Canadian aviation and rail equipment corporation Bombardier.
