Parker Adds Connectivity and Extended Power Range to Its AC30 Variable Speed Drive

CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 24, 2017 – The Electromechanical and Drives Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has announced the enhancement of the AC30 variable speed drives with the new P and D control modules for greater functional capability to meet the needs of advanced system applications. In addition, the AC30 series power range has been increased from 100 HP to 350 HP with the release of the new J and K frames.

The new control module options and updated firmware allow the AC30 series to provide a host of new features. For performance and advanced systems capability, new features include optional closed loop operation with pulse encoder feedback module and dual encoder inputs with two high speed registration mark inputs, along with I/O expansion options. Communications have been enhanced, with Ethernet TCP/IP as standard, 1588 Peer to Peer communications, and user-customizable web server. For setup, commissioning, and maintenance, the AC30 series offers parameter data logging to SD card, “Black Box” trip history recording, PDQ tool “Multi-Instance” capability, system application libraries, and SMART diagnostics. The AC30 also now offers chassis configuration or through-panel mount as standard configurations.
