Program overview

A program to identify, hire, and develop talented, newly graduated engineers for the rigors of new product development.

Each program participant has the opportunity to:

  • Participate in a team project that spans initial customer engagement to prototype creation
  • Develop project management skills, enhance leadership and communication abilities, hone presentation proficiency, and gain customer interviewing and collaboration experience
  • Explore Parker through individual rotations and facility tours
  • Gain an executive management sponsor and connect with an engineering mentor

Parker Hannifin is a company grounded by excellent engineering professionals. Parker engineers are some of the most talented and accomplished in the world. Parker is looking for superior applicants for the Engineering Leadership Development Program who meet the following criteria:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering with a focus on mechanical, chemical, electrical, or electromechanical engineering; computer science; robotics; and/or system integration
  • Superior students with overall grade point averages of 3.5 or better and core-class grade point averages of 3.2 or better
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • The ability to work successfully both individually and in a group
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relocate is required

How long is the program?

Each Engineering Leadership Development Program lasts 12 months.

Are participants required to travel?

Each Engineering Leadership Development Program participant may be asked to spend time at several US locations for his or her personal growth and contribution to the organization. In addition, program participants come together as a team for week long trainings eight times during the program year to collaborate on solving an engineering challenge. This company-paid travel also offers participants unique business cases that stretch their minds and inspire their understanding of the business ecosystem.
