The tool hook-up sub-systems are designed to transform factory clean dry air and vacuum. Filter to 0.003µm Stabilise temperature of inbound CDA using heat exchanger Sense and regulate flow & pressure which may vary within the fab and across fabs to the specific requirements for the tool. Output is pressure and flow regulated, filtered, and at stable temperature for use the tool.
Multi-channel controllers interface with the facilities circuit in the tool. The full machine pressure, controlled by the PFS tool hook up facilities unit is the input. Multi-channel subsystems are designed to take the tool supply in a specific area of the machine tool and 1) switch multiple functions in that area on and off electronically via trigger from the customer’s software command system 2) Regulate pressure, flow and vacuum for the specific channel, stepping down from the machine pressure to the requirements of the point of use application.

Point of use control takes the channel input pressures and fine tunes to activate the function required. PFS designs and manufactures precise point of use control systems to deliver the functionality required in the OEM tool. We deliver tens of functions, a few examples are wafer clamping and release, air bearing control, control of robot arm end effector, differential seal pressure control.
