Aside from the trend toward increasingly automated driving and connectivity of diverse means of transportation, mobility of the future is primarily driven by climate change and environmental protection, and thus requires propulsion systems that reduce CO2 emissions, which are harmful to the global climate, and pollutant emissions, which are locally harmful to human health.
