Pneumatic Cylinders

Pneumatic cylinders are used in a wide range of applications in the field of automation technology. Pneumatic drives are indispensible particularly where high-speed linear movements must be performed in assembly processes. Drive technology using compressed air requires systems combining robustness with very good technical sealing performance. Due to the high level of energy contained in the drive medium, losses of compressed air are extremely cost-relevant and have a major impact on the system‘s overall efficiency, especially since it is not uncommon for several hundred compressed air consumers to be installed in an assembly line. Parker Prädifa offers sealing systems for pneumatic cylinders featuring sophisticated technology. Developed and optimized by drawing on decades of experience, these systems are tailored to suit the relevant requirements. In a combination of seal geometry and tailored material we deliver the right sealing system for any application.

Pneumatic Valves

Control elements for distributing and directing compressed air flow to the cylinders are essential to controlling pneumatic actuators. Pneumatic valves are utilized for this purpose. They direct the compressed air into the desired direction via an internal piston and can also provide pressure relief to the system.
Extremely fast switching times and switching frequencies are key functional features. They are required due to the high motion speeds of the cylinders. To improve the efficiency of the valves, the internal pistons are sealed against the housing and, in many cases, additionally provided with damping elements.
Parker Prädifa offers technically sophisticated and functionally optimized tailored sealing systems for pneumatic valves. A special aspect of this portfolio is its large share of custom seals that are adapted precisely to the valve design.
