Spiral failure eliminated with TechSeal's Extruded and Machined D-Rings

TechSeal’s D-rings are extruded and precision cut to your exact specifications without the need of specifications without the need of costly tooling. The machining process eliminates potential leak paths associated with many molded products such as parting lines and flash extensions. In addition, machined D-rings are not prone to common molded flaws such as flow lines, pits and voids. The square or rectangular base of the D-ring provides additional gland stability which eliminates the potential for spiral failure, a rolling tendency common in many dynamic applications. This greatly increases the life of the seal. This type of failure is most often found on long stroke hydraulic piston seals and to a lesser degree on rod seals

Because the D-rings are extruded and machined, lead times are minimal and dimensions can be easily adjusted. TechSeal’s D-rings can be manufactured from most common polymer families ranging in durometer from 60 Shore A & higher.
