About us

An invention as the cornerstone of HPCE. The original idea of the cutting ring fitting goes back to the invention of Hans Kreidel and his patent in 1929. This fitting was initially produced in Zöblitz (Erzgebirge) and catapulted the company to market leadership for tube fittings in brake systems and in the hydraulic heavy industry.

In 1945, the plant in Zöblitz was dismantled by the Russian occupation forces. This did not stop the rise of cutting ring fitting technology. On March 5, 1948, Hans Kreidel founded Ermeto Armaturen GmbH together with Karl Oldewurtel, an entrepreneur from Bielefeld Senne, and Tecalemit SA Paris. Five years later, production started at the current location of High Pressure Connectors Europe in Windelsbleiche, Bielefeld. In 1965, Ermeto grew and bought a factory in Schloß Holte to be able to expand its production. After the owners left the business in 1974, Ermeto set a milestone in the history of fastening technology in 1978 with the introduction of the progressive stop ring.

In 1981, Ermeto joined Parker Hannifin. From then on, the products were marketed under the Parker Ermeto brand. The company set another milestone in the following years with the development of EO-2, a completely soft-sealing connection system.

Today, Parker HPCE remains the market leader in the field of high pressure connection technology. The portfolio continues to include many innovations, also from other areas of hydraulic connection technology, such as the F37 and HPF flange system, the SensoControl measuring devices, or manifolds for cooling data centers.
